AIDA Cruises, one of Germany’s leading cruise companies, needed to replace its discontinued Oxid-based online shop quickly after technical issues forced it offline. Working with Shopware and its partner Webmatch, the company had to launch a new commerce experience fast while also handling special product and connectivity requirements tied to cruise operations.
Shopware 6 was implemented as the new platform, using its headless capabilities, APIs, Flow Builder, Rule Builder, and Shopping Experiences to support AIDA’s business processes and content needs. The shop went live in just six weeks and delivered strong results, including a 20% increase in cart value, a 10–15% rise in conversions, and significantly fewer abandoned purchases.
