Highbush Blueberry Council partnered with Shopkick to drive brand awareness and incremental in-store sales

The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council sought to build brand awareness and drive incremental in-store sales for its products without resorting to discounts. They partnered with Shopkick to find an innovative way to engage shoppers both at home and in the grocery store, ultimately aiming to influence purchase conversion.

Shopkick's solution used branded lookbook content to inspire shoppers before their store trips. In-store, the platform offered rewards for finding and scanning blueberries, and then provided heightened incentives for purchase validation via receipt submission. This strategy drove significant results for the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council, including 13.9 million impressions and a 54% conversion rate from scans to purchase. Shopkick delivered a 4:1 return on investment, with over half of the purchases being unplanned prior to the campaign.
