KEEN Achieves 80% Cost Reduction while Accelerating Omnichannel Growth

KEEN, a global sustainable footwear brand, was struggling with a complex and costly commerce stack built on Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Micros POS, and many third-party integrations. The fragmented setup made teams siloed, slowed retail operations, and created a poor in-store experience. Shopify Plus, along with Shopify POS and Shopify Payments, was brought in to help simplify and unify KEEN’s online and offline commerce.

KEEN replatformed to Shopify Plus using a phased rollout, launching expansion stores across multiple regions and replacing its POS with Shopify POS for a single view of inventory, customers, and orders. The result was an 80% reduction in total cost of ownership, faster project delivery, and stronger omnichannel selling. With Shopify Plus, KEEN also launched stores faster, sold 1,000 pairs at a pop-up in five hours, and expanded into 7 new international markets with 15 more planned.
