Jenny Craig Australia's first-ever online store laid the foundation for an ecommerce subscription model

Jenny Craig Australia, a membership-based weight-loss and meal program with over 700 global stores, needed to convert high web bounce rates into online sign-ups and replicate its high-touch in-store service digitally. To reach younger customers and support complex offerings—more than 50 custom menus and a menu planner with 30+ food items per week—Jenny Craig chose Shopify Plus to power its first-ever online store and deliver a fully customizable ecommerce experience.

Partnering with Shopify Plus (and agency partner Overdose), Jenny Craig built a tailored site with a quiz and chatbot, a bespoke menu planner, and integrations with HubSpot and BeCool for marketing and delivery. The Shopify Plus implementation launched smoothly during COVID-19, delivered an early conversion rate of 2.6% with no marketing, and established the foundation for subscriptions and automated recurring orders to improve customer flexibility and business resilience.
