Taschen, the Cologne-based art and photography publisher, wanted to move beyond a custom ecommerce platform that was too slow and limiting for its growth ambitions. Shopify Plus was brought in to help the company launch a scalable online business that could support faster updates, easier integrations, and expansion into multiple countries.

Shopify Plus, working with Marmalade, rebuilt TASCHEN’s international webshop using a headless architecture with integrated PIM and Shopify Checkout. The new store went live in just five months and launched in five languages, driving a 20% year-over-year revenue increase, a 12% rise in total orders, and a 6% lift in average order value.
