The FSCS identifies and develops its leadership talent pipeline to ensure it can meet its vision for the 2020s

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) partnered with SHL to support a culture change and build a stronger leadership pipeline. Working from SHL’s Universal Competency Framework, FSCS developed its own “My Ways of Working” framework to better define the behaviors needed across the organization.

SHL implemented a High Potential assessment approach and later a 360-degree development program for managers to measure performance and potential against Enterprise Leadership behaviors. The results have been strong: 47% of identified high-potential employees have been promoted to senior leadership roles, two have joined the Executive Team, one now serves on the Board of Directors, six more reached the Senior Leadership Team, and female representation in the Executive Team rose to 57%, surpassing the original 50% target.
