SHL assessments were chosen by USB to complement its inclusive selection approach

The University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) needed to identify and select MBA students with the correct behavioral profile and cognitive abilities to ensure they could succeed in its demanding program and become effective future leaders. To meet this challenge, USB partnered with SHL to implement a fair, reliable, and valid assessment process as part of its inclusive admissions strategy.

SHL provided a solution that included the Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) and its Verify range of ability tests for verbal, numerical, and inductive reasoning. The results gave USB a holistic view of each candidate's potential and were proven to have a statistically significant correlation with future academic performance in the MBA program, validating their use for predicting student success.
