A SHL Case Study
Leading Private AMC Company engaged SHL to tackle inconsistent performance among its Relationship Managers (RMs). SHL applied AMCAT assessment modules (English, Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability, Financial Services) and AMPI traits (Polychronicity, Conscientiousness) to identify the skills and behaviors that predict on-the-job success.
SHL administered these assessments to 76 RMs and benchmarked scores against percentage target achievement and standardized manager ratings. Results showed high-performing RMs scored significantly higher on English, Logical Ability, Financial Services and AMPI traits; using SHL’s AMCAT cut-offs at hiring could raise the share of high-performing RMs by nearly 50% and reduce low performers by about 35% (MBAs in the study achieved roughly 2.5× the targets of graduates).
