Zuma, the global izakaya-style restaurant group founded in 2002, was facing high per-cover booking costs and heavy reliance on third-party booking and marketing services despite strong demand. To reduce booking fees and build direct relationships with guests, Zuma partnered with SevenRooms and implemented its white-label reservation widget, seating and guest management system, and guest CRM with POS integration.
SevenRooms enabled Zuma to take direct online reservations (eliminating cover fees), capture guest data through social login, automate pre-shift guest reports, and publish inventory on free channels. As a result, Zuma achieved a 50% reduction in online marketing costs and a 57% decrease in reservation team staffing costs, while improving personalized service and post-visit marketing.
