Kärntner Landeskrankenanstalten-Betriebsgesellschaft (KABEG), which operates five regional hospitals in Austria, faced a significant challenge with its IT financial management. By implementing Serviceware Financial, KABEG centralized its IT budgeting and controlling. The solution provided a transparent overview of all services and costs, enabling reliable calculations and traceable data analysis. The use of the Visual Service Analyzer allowed for clear and easy evaluation of data, moving processes from a "black box" to a fully justifiable system. This enabled KABEG to understand cost drivers and clearly explain them, such as identifying the components that caused a service to become 20 percent more expensive.
