Kimberly Clark - Customer Case Study

Kimberly-Clark, the global consumer goods company headquartered in Dallas, needed accurate, up-to-date visibility of hardware, software and relationships across a large, distributed IT environment. Manual updates and security concerns about adding new tools left their CMDB incomplete and made it hard to understand service dependencies.

They deployed ServiceNow Discovery (agentless) using about a dozen MID servers, implemented by a two-person team over 3–4 months. Nightly scans now cover roughly 850,000 CIs and 1.5 million IPs, creating reliable relationship maps, reducing manual effort, and enabling a small operations team to trust and maintain the CMDB while continuing to extend discovery capabilities.
