INTERVIAL Chile S.A., a subsidiary of ISA and the country’s main interurban road operator, needed to reduce congestion at toll plazas as part of the government’s “Chile Without Barriers” initiative. Moving from boom-barrier tolling to a free-flow electronic system required a modern, cloud-based platform to handle electronic payments, equipment maintenance and a surge in incidents, claims and customer requests.
Working with partner Solex, INTERVIAL standardized operations on the ServiceNow Now Platform, using an Agile implementation to integrate maintenance, customer workflows and real-time incident management. The rollout was smooth, enabled a single platform for all processes, and scaled operations from about 400 to nearly 30,000 incident requests per month—improving traffic flow and the highway experience for Chilean drivers.
