GE Capital Transforms Business Continuity Planning with ServiceNow

GE Capital, the financing arm of GE, needed to strengthen business continuity as it refocused on core industrial sectors. Its Business Continuity Management Program required inventorying and aggregating 150+ risks per location, but the legacy risk-assessment system was inflexible, hard to use and maintain, prompting a search for a cost-effective, rapidly deployable solution.

GE Capital’s ITSM team worked with business stakeholders to build the Risk Vulnerability Assessment Tool (RVAT) on ServiceNow using agile sprints and delivered it in six weeks. RVAT provides intuitive risk collection, real-time predictive modeling and trending, delivering finer-grained oversight, faster response to emerging risks, improved governance and executive visibility, and has reshaped IT-business collaboration while enabling further continuity enhancements.
