A Service Works Global Case Study
Service Works Global (SWG) provided medical asset management software as part of a CAD $300M, 18‑year public‑private partnership between Philips and Mackenzie Health to deliver managed equipment services across Richmond Hill and the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital. The challenge was to manage maintenance, availability and complex performance metrics for critical medical equipment under a performance‑driven contract where downtime could trigger financial penalties, while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuity of clinical care.
SWG’s P3rform platform gives Philips real‑time dashboards, in‑built alarms, configurable penalty calculations and predictive analytics to track, prioritise and report on equipment maintenance and availability. Deployed at Richmond Hill and being rolled out to Vaughan, the system reduced operational risk, improved service levels and compliance, enabled proactive remediation before penalties, and delivered the visibility and accountability needed to support MES delivery and better patient outcomes.
