The News Building at 1 London Bridge Street, home to News UK and around 1,000 staff across 92,000 sq ft of commercial space, needed a flexible facilities management system to handle the scale of the building and the varied, changing needs of its tenants. The FM team required better ways to log and manage reactive maintenance, improve contractor communication, increase transparency for end-users, and speed up reporting.

They implemented QFM in 2015, giving tenants a simple web-based, pictorial three-click interface and contractors shared access. The system delivered clear SLA tracking, removed duplicate jobs, and made reporting far faster — cutting a half-day Excel process to about 5–10 minutes — which improved service quality, contractor relationships and allowed the FM team to focus on higher-value tasks.
