Multiplex Europe, delivering the £335m Peterborough Hospital PFI, needed a future-proof CAFM solution to replace a legacy system and centralise reactive and planned hard FM across multiple interim and new hospital buildings. The challenge was to manage complex PFI service-level requirements, consolidate helpdesk operations across sites, and provide transparent performance tracking tied to contract payment mechanisms.
Service Works Global’s QFM was rolled out in phases from October 2008 to provide a single, centralised helpdesk, automated job assignment to in-house and external contractors, and management of planned preventative maintenance. Configured PFI payment and Event Director reporting give real-time visibility of performance, rapid, accurate concession calculations and on-demand reports — delivering centralised information, improved performance oversight and automated PFI concession management, with potential further efficiencies via planned mobile deployment.
