Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL), a leading MRO with a new 110,000 sq ft hangar in Birmingham and operations across Europe, faced growing facilities-management complexity as third‑party maintenance and site numbers expanded. The FM team was responsible for 40 diverse sites and many outsourced services, but FM processes were inconsistent, largely manual, and constrained by limited use of their existing software—making planned preventative maintenance, health & safety compliance and cost control difficult to manage as the business scaled.
MAEL rolled out the latest QFM facilities-management software across the organisation to centralise fault reporting, enforce SLAs, schedule PPM tasks, track assets and capture accurate cost data. The solution professionalised FM, enabled the team to expand from 11 to 40 sites, streamlined reporting, improved H&S oversight, provided trend analysis for asset and contractor decisions, and supported better budgeting and lifecycle planning.
