Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre - Customer Case Study

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is Australia’s largest combined convention and exhibition facility and operates under a 25‑year PPP between Plenary Group and the Victorian government. Faced with around 200 FM performance parameters, complex deduction regimes and high scrutiny on reporting and auditing, the project needed a real‑time, auditable system to give Plenary and operators clear visibility of service delivery and contractual performance.

Service Works Global’s QFM was configured for the PPP and deployed to Brookfield Johnson Controls to handle reactive and planned maintenance, a 8,000+ asset register and a helpdesk-driven response regime. QFM’s Request Director provides real‑time, traffic‑light escalation and a web view for Plenary; an automated extension workflow cut approval time from 45 to 15 minutes. The result is transparent, accountable FM that demonstrates operational efficiency and has avoided penalty fees since opening.
