Bräckeskolan School - Customer Case Study

Service Works Global (SWG) was commissioned by the City of Gothenburg to produce a 3D BIM model of the 8,000 m2 Bräckeskolan school after the local administration discovered that longstanding changes had left existing 2D drawings inaccurate. The challenge was to create reliable as-built information for a renovation and extension while avoiding disruption to school activities.

SWG performed weekend 3D laser scanning and georeferencing, then delivered a Revit BIM model, plans, façade drawings, the point cloud and a point-cloud viewer with 360° images. The result gave architects and designers a design-ready model that removed the need for extra site measurements, enabled virtual site visits, sped up planning, reduced costs and kept the project on schedule with high client satisfaction.
