Texas Water Provider Improves Customer Communication with Sensus

The City of Cedar Park faced a challenge improving customer understanding of water usage and billing with its outdated system. To address this, the city partnered with Sensus to find a solution that would offer better communication and detailed consumption data for its 23,000 residents.

Sensus implemented its Advanced Metering Infrastructure solution, including smart meters, the FlexNet network, Sensus Analytics, and a Customer Portal. This provided near real-time usage data and leak alerts, leading to a 9% active user adoption rate within a year, over 300 leak notifications, and significantly improved customer service and conservation efforts for the city.
