Eagle Mountain cuts truck rolls and upgrades water meters with Sensus FlexNet EasyLink

Eagle Mountain City, a rapidly growing municipality in Utah, faced the challenge of updating its outdated water utility system. The city needed a simple and cost-effective way to upgrade its water meters and mobile meter reading solution to achieve greater accuracy and reduce the number of required service truck rolls. To address this, they partnered with vendor Sensus.

Sensus implemented its FlexNet EasyLink Mobile Communications solution, which allows technicians to acquire meter data through a portable, long-range radio device. Eagle Mountain was so satisfied with the solution's performance that it began a full deployment before initial testing was even completed. The city also implemented a meter replacement program using Sensus iPERL residential and OMNI commercial smart water meters. This new system from Sensus allowed Eagle Mountain to become more efficient and proactive in serving its customers.
