Curatech Safely Connects Patients and Doctors with Sendbird

Curatech, a leading telemedicine app in Mexico, needed a safer and more organized way for patients and doctors to communicate. The company wanted to move medical conversations off WhatsApp, where chats could become messy, insecure, and difficult for doctors to manage and monetize. To bring its app to market quickly, Curatech chose Sendbird Chat and Calls instead of building its own messaging system.

With Sendbird, Curatech launched secure in-app chat and video consultations for patients and doctors, adding features like image sharing, prescriptions, payment flows, and video calls in just two weeks. The platform now supports more than 2,500 doctors and over 200,000 patients, while 94% of surveyed patients said they would switch from WhatsApp to a secure platform if their physician asked them to. Sendbird helped Curatech create a fairer, more compliant, and more scalable digital healthcare experience.
