Secret Sales, a UK members-only flash-sale retailer, needed a better way to promote rapidly changing daily offers to its growing base of shoppers. Its email program was too basic for the volume and urgency of sales, and it struggled to personalize content, increase repeat purchases, and maintain fast deliverability. Selligent Marketing Cloud was brought in to support the company’s marketing automation and email strategy.
Selligent Marketing Cloud implemented dynamic templates, a sales scoring algorithm, loyalty journeys, and cadence controls to personalize each message based on browsing, purchase history, and preferences. The vendor also helped improve deliverability and rebuild Gmail reputation through its GRID infrastructure. As a result, Secret Sales shifted from a generic program to a highly automated one, sending 40 personalized messages per customer per month and more than 25 API-driven triggered messages to support the order process.
