Prezi, the visual storytelling company behind Prezi Business, faced a major onboarding challenge: their dynamic, non-linear product has many features and thousands of users sign up daily across nine languages. To improve retention they needed to deliver personalized, role-specific onboarding within 30 days for different license types and team or individual users—at scale.
Prezi analyzed search, support and usage data to segment users into “Presenters” and “Creators,” added a registration question for better segmentation, and built role-specific Getting Started pages. Using Selligent’s lifecycle marketing, they created 35 localized email variations (each user receives 7–8) across six interconnected programs with behavior-driven CTAs. After six months internal usage KPIs, email opens and unique clicks rose significantly versus the old campaign and a control group, driving longer-term business impact and prompting plans for more regional content.
