Facing rapid growth and rising expectations, the company partnered with Selligent to replace its email marketing setup with a scalable, real-time solution that could act on customer insights and deliver smarter, personalized communications across large contact lists.

Using Selligent’s omnichannel database and Engagement Sphere, Exoticca tracked behavior from web, call centers and social media to build individual customer journeys and send timely, personalized emails (pre-trip tips, destination suggestions, discounts and post-trip surveys). The campaign achieved a 55% open rate (2x the norm), a 28% click-to-open rate (+20%), a 14% click-through rate (3x higher) and drove a 10% increase in direct sales, while markedly improving pre- and post-trip customer experiences.
