Crédit Foncier, a French specialist in real estate loans with nearly 160 years of history, 3,330 employees and a network of 250+ affiliates, wanted to launch government-subsidized home improvement loans. The dual challenge was to optimize cross-selling to existing property-owning clients and to acquire new customers using online lead generation only.

Working with agencies WNP and Tagora, Crédit Foncier implemented Selligent in a three-month “test-and-learn” pilot to try multiple messages, segments and channels and monitor results in real time. The program tracked cost-per-acquisition and revealed the most effective channels: cross-selling produced a 3% conversion (print mailing followed by a phone call was 7× more effective than print alone), and online efforts generated more than 3,000 new leads.
