ScoutMyTrip uses Visual Tagger to instantly gather data for critical product decisions

ScoutMyTrip, an AI-driven road-trip planner and travel-expert marketplace based in Maharashtra, India, needed a faster way to run conversion experiments with a very lean engineering team. Manually instrumenting dozens of events per page was time-consuming and would have slowed or prevented the rapid testing needed on a key conversion page—the pricing page.

Using Segment’s Visual Tagger, the team captured roughly 30 events on the pricing page in about two hours without writing code, then analyzed behavior in Amplitude and Hotjar. They discovered users interacted with only two of five trip options and missed a benefits infographic buried below the fold, so they relaunched a simplified page surfacing the infographic and the two popular options—enabling customer-driven pricing decisions, faster experimentation, and freeing engineers from routine analytics work.
