WCKX-FM (Power 107.5), a Columbus urban radio station focused on R&B and hip-hop, wanted to engage listeners and support a special Columbus Crew promotion with a video talent contest. Working with Second Street Lab, the station used a contest and ad buy to drive participation and attract attention around the “Crew the Star Spangled Banner” campaign.
Second Street Lab delivered contest branding, online display ads, and social media promotion, with additional outreach on air and at Crew Stadium. The effort generated 32 video submissions, 440 registered voters, and $11,000 in digital revenue for WCKX-FM, making the promotion a measurable success for both the station and the Red, White, & Crew event.
