The Post and Courier - Customer Case Study

The Post and Courier, a Charleston, SC newspaper, launched its first-ever citywide “Charleston’s Choice” ballot and wanted a way to drive community engagement while creating new revenue opportunities. The paper partnered with Second Street Lab to plan and run the campaign, which included nomination, voting, and celebration phases across a wide range of local business categories.

Second Street Lab helped The Post and Courier execute the ballot with promotional toolkits, category sponsorships, print and digital ads, an event, and a special print section. The campaign generated 6,000 business nominations, 200,000 votes from 21,000 registered users, over 450 event attendees, and more than $250,000 in revenue, while also building over 220 advertiser relationships.
