KYTV-TV in Springfield, Missouri needed a way to help local advertiser Sun Solar generate qualified sales leads, and turned to Second Street Lab for a sweepstakes campaign built around interactive contest tools. The station’s challenge was to attract enough interest to make the promotion valuable, while filtering entrants to reach homeowners likely to consider solar panels.
Second Street Lab helped KYTV-TV structure the contest with a high-value prize, targeted survey questions, and email opt-in to capture and qualify leads. The campaign drove more than 22,000 entries from 6,200 people, produced 3,800 hot leads, generated 4,100 new email subscribers for KYTV-TV, and helped Sun Solar close 80 sales for $1.25MM in direct revenue, while also delivering $5,000 in sponsorship revenue for the station.
