Omaha.com needed a fast way to help NEX Outlets build a database of email addresses and mobile phone numbers before its grand opening, while also generating strong exposure for the mall. Second Street Lab supported the Omaha World-Herald’s online sweepstakes efforts on Omaha.com as part of an integrated contest and promotional campaign.
Second Street Lab implemented a 10-week giveaway offering a $1,000 shopping spree each week, promoted through print, online ads, email blasts, and newsroom support. The campaign drove more than 80,000 total submissions, delivered over 35,000 new and unique email addresses to NEX Outlets, and generated $75,000 in revenue for the Omaha World-Herald. Due to the success, NEX Outlets continued running promotions with Second Street Lab and the newspaper.
