Local Bakery Collects Valuable Data With Over 2,200 Survey Responses

Entercom New Orleans worked with Second Street Lab to help local bakery Haydel’s answer marketing questions about King Cakes while also growing its email and text database. The challenge was to run a timely Mardi Gras promotion that would collect useful customer data and drive engagement.

Second Street Lab created a two-week giveaway, “Win Haydel’s King Cakes for a Year,” with a short survey, opt-in options, and Facebook engagement. The promotion delivered 2,199 opt-ins and 1,284 Facebook Likes, with 56% of entries coming from mobile devices. It also revealed that 40% of respondents did not know Haydel’s sold King Cakes year-round, and the campaign led Haydel’s to sign on for additional quarterly promotions, increasing spend with Entercom New Orleans by four times.
