KTUU-TV, part of Schurz Communications, wanted a repeatable way to boost audience engagement and create more value for its local sponsor, Alaska Tire Service, through its annual “Guess Anchorage’s First Snowfall” online contest. As the contest entered its fifth year, KTUU worked with Second Street Lab to keep the promotion fresh while continuing to grow entries and email leads.

Second Street Lab helped KTUU run the contest across web, mobile, and on-air channels, supported by sponsored ad impressions, dynamic homepage ads, and meteorologist mentions. The result was an additional $7,500 in revenue for KTUU, more than 3,200 entries, and nearly 2,000 email opt-ins, with contest participation up 88% since the first year.
