KRDO, a TV station in Colorado Springs, wanted to boost viewer engagement, generate sponsorship revenue, and grow its email list through an annual Fall Colors photo contest. To run the promotion, KRDO used Second Street Lab’s contest platform and interactive campaign tools to create a nature-themed contest with an appealing prize package and exclusive sponsor.
Second Street Lab helped KRDO execute the contest across on-air ads, Facebook posts, and website placements, with a separate submission and voting period to keep users engaged. The campaign delivered 476 entries, 27,599 votes, and 423 opt-ins, while generating $2,000 in revenue for the station; the sponsor was also so pleased with the results that they re-signed for the following year.
