A Second Street Lab Case Study
The North Platte Telegraph, a small-market newspaper in North Platte, Nebraska, wanted a holiday promotion that would attract local advertisers, generate audience engagement, and deliver useful leads. Working with Second Street Lab and its sweepstakes/landing page tools, the paper planned a “12 Days of Giving” promotion that let each sponsor collect email opt-ins and survey responses while offering a prize each day.
Second Street Lab helped The North Platte Telegraph launch 12 consecutive holiday sweepstakes on a single landing page, supported by email, banner, print, and social promotions. The campaign generated 4,372 entries, 2,614 email opt-ins for advertisers, and $6,000 in revenue for the paper, while also adding 900 emails to its database and setting a record for the publication.
