Fort Campbell Families Cover Contest Generates $1,400

Fort Campbell Families, a quarterly magazine for military families owned by the Kentucky New Era, wanted to boost reader participation, increase online pageviews, and generate new online revenue. Working with Second Street Lab’s cover photo contest product, they launched the Fort Campbell Families Cover Contest to turn reader submissions into an ongoing engagement and sponsorship opportunity.

Second Street Lab helped Fort Campbell Families run the contest three times a year, supported by local sponsors and promotional print and online ads. The program has generated more than $16,000 in total revenue, about $1,400 per contest, while also attracting thousands of votes and pageviews and receiving 8 to 20 entries per issue.
