A Second Street Lab Case Study
Forsyth County News, a small-market newspaper in Georgia, wanted to grow readership, sponsorship, and revenue through its annual Best of Forsyth ballot, but needed a stronger way to engage the community and attract advertisers. With Second Street Lab, the paper used a ballot program to help residents vote for local favorites while giving businesses new advertising opportunities across print, digital, and email.
Second Street Lab helped Forsyth County News expand the ballot into a larger marketing and event program, including sponsorships, nominee promotions, and the first Best of Forsyth Red Carpet Event. The effort generated more than $200,000 in direct revenue, more than doubled year over year, drove 230,258 votes and 7,500+ email opt-ins, and brought in 8 new advertisers now investing $50,000 annually.
