Foodlink NY - Customer Case Study

Foodlink NY, a local food bank in Rochester, New York, wanted a fresh way to promote its Festival of Food fundraiser and drive ticket sales for the event. Working with Second Street Lab, WHAM-TV used a ballot-based “Food Truck Face Off” to engage fans around local food trucks while building awareness for the upcoming festival.

Second Street Lab implemented a two-phase nomination-and-voting ballot, added email opt-ins, Facebook engagement, and custom survey questions to identify likely ticket buyers, and supported it with a strong email and social campaign. The effort generated over 2,600 votes from 1,700+ people, 570+ email opt-ins and reminder requests, and drove tons of ticket sales through the thank-you email’s ticket link.
