Facebook Contest Leads Hotel to Spend New Money with KY3-TV

KY3-TV, part of Schurz Communications, wanted to help Basin Park Hotel grow its email database and Facebook presence while creating buzz for future marketing campaigns. To do that, KY3-TV used a Facebook advertiser contest program from Second Street Lab, centered on a Romantic Getaway sweepstakes.

Second Street Lab helped KY3-TV create and run the promotion with banner ads, Facebook Page mentions, weekly emails, and a contest-page thumbnail. The campaign generated 6,412 entries, collected 3,993 opt-ins for the advertiser, and added nearly 2,000 Facebook Likes, while also producing $1,000 in revenue for KY3-TV; a follow-up campaign later generated another $4,000.
