Billings Gazette, part of Lee Enterprises in Billings, Montana, needed a high-impact way to help the newly opened Volkswagen Billings dealership stand out in a new market and build awareness quickly. The dealership partnered with Second Street Lab for a giveaway sweepstakes centered on a brand-new 2012 Volkswagen Jetta.
Second Street Lab created a complete print and digital marketing package and launched the “Win a Volkswagen” Facebook contest, driving traffic to winavolkswagen.com and a live giveaway event. The campaign generated $70,000 for the paper, helped Volkswagen Billings grow Facebook Likes from 54 to 2,100, exceeded sales expectations, and led to continued future business for Second Street Lab and the newspaper.
