‘Best of’ Ballot a $630K Win for Paper

The Chattanooga Times Free Press worked with Second Street Lab on its “Best of the Best” citywide ballot, a major annual revenue driver that needed fresh tactics to boost engagement and sales. For its 10th anniversary, the paper aimed to grow participation, streamline a digital voting experience, and create more sponsorship opportunities across print and online channels.

Second Street Lab’s ballot and sponsorship platform helped power a campaign that included category groupings, email marketing, social promotion, website ads, sweepstakes, and an invite-only winners’ event. The results were strong: more than $630,000 in revenue, over 21,000 participants, and 71,000+ votes, making it the paper’s most successful ballot to date.
