A ScreenSteps Case Study
Brigham Young University - Idaho (BYU-Idaho) needed to create help documentation for its students, parents, faculty, and staff. Their challenge was that all of their guides were complex PDFs created in Adobe InDesign, which was so difficult to use that only three student employees could create content. This limitation severely slowed down content creation and maintenance.
The university implemented the ScreenSteps knowledge ops platform. This solution made authoring content significantly easier, allowing all 37 members of the staff to contribute. As a result, they created over 2,000 help articles in one-quarter of the time it used to take. ScreenSteps also provided a better search experience, enabling users to find answers instantly and drastically reducing the number of support calls.
