SIG is an autonomous public utility company in Geneva that supplies water, gas, electricity, thermal energy, fiber and waste treatment. After restructuring in 2007 and creating IPRO to bring together hydraulic, electrical, thermal and civil engineers, SIG faced fragmented project management—projects were run in different formats, information was scattered across files, and market liberalization increased pressure for tighter financial controls and delivery dates. The company needed a single, easy-to-use system to unify processes, reporting and resource visibility for all contributors.

SIG selected Sciforma for its usability, flexibility and price-performance, ran workshops to define processes, and configured the tool quickly before integrating it with SAP for finance and HR data. Deployment grew from about 50 initial users to 130 across departments, managing roughly 700 projects and worksites per year. The result: consolidated planning and reporting, better budget and resource visibility, stronger cross-team collaboration, fewer ad hoc files, and ongoing Sciforma support and enhancement.
