Guerin Systems is a French leader in automated stainless-steel equipment for the agri-food and plastics industries, delivering turnkey solutions from design through installation and training. Handling large, long-running projects (typically €200k–€6M and 1–2 years) across mechanical, electrical and automation teams, the company relied on disconnected MS Project files and Excel spreadsheets — a set of 12 unlinked plans — which left them with poor visibility on workloads, no consolidated service workload, difficulty forecasting capacity or delivery delays, and time-consuming data collection.

After evaluating options in 2005 they selected Sciforma, created a planning manager role, piloted the tool, and rolled it out with targeted training and internal procedures. By importing projects and using a generic “Interventions” project for small tasks, Guerin now manages some 30–50 projects with consolidated resource planning, improved handling of absences versus workloads, better capacity forecasting and delivery visibility, and clearer organization and communication across teams.
