Vodafone Sets New Benchmark on Its Intelligent Enterprise Journey with SAP S/4HANA Migration and Strategic Business Model

Vodafone, a global telecommunications leader serving hundreds of millions of customers, faced a legacy back-office challenge: a heavily customized SAP ECC environment that was slow, hard to update, and unable to provide real-time analytics or high automation rates for its 93,000 employees. To modernize and standardize finance, HR and supply‑chain processes, Vodafone moved to SAP S/4HANA and implemented a suite of cloud solutions — including SAP SuccessFactors for HR — to improve user experience, automation and insight.

As part of that transformation Vodafone migrated one of the world’s largest single SAP instances to SAP S/4HANA in 18 months and integrated cloud products such as SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Concur, SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass. The SAP SuccessFactors deployment delivered centralized HR functionality and, together with the S/4HANA migration, drove significant increases in automation and standardization, enabled retirement of custom code, improved user experience via SAP Fiori, and produced measurable cost savings and operational efficiencies across the business.
