Telefonica (Telefónica Germany) faced fragmented HR after major acquisitions, with employee data spread across nine HR systems and 19 legal entities that made workforce management, integration and collaboration difficult. To address this, Telefonica deployed SAP SuccessFactors, using the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite (including Employee Central), the mobile app, SAP Jam collaboration and SAP Preferred Success to modernize HR.

SAP SuccessFactors, together with Deloitte, replaced the disparate legacy systems with a single integrated HR platform that unified employee data across 19 legal entities and replaced nine HR systems. The SAP SuccessFactors implementation gave managers enterprise-wide visibility, supported the integration of E‑Plus, enabled employee self-service and mobile access, standardized HR processes (targeting 100% digitalization), and improved scheduling, training, recruiting and talent management across the company.
