IBM Transforming Performance Management Boosts Employee Engagement and Accelerates Talent Development

IBM, a global high-tech company with more than 377,000 employees in 170 countries, needed to modernize performance management to keep people aligned as priorities changed and to create a culture of continuous feedback. To support a more agile, iterative way of working and give employees greater control over goals, IBM adopted the SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals solution.

Working with IBM Global Business Services, IBM deployed SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals enterprise-wide, driving more frequent manager–employee interactions, shorter 3–5 month goal cycles, and a culture of ongoing feedback. The solution reached more than 377,000 employees, with over 90% of users establishing goals in the new system, leading to stronger alignment to strategic goals, higher engagement, and accelerated talent development.
