Döhler GmbH, a global producer of natural ingredients and integrated solutions for the food and beverage industry, needed a faster, more user‑friendly way to turn customer ideas into samples. The existing sampling process was slow, spanned multiple systems with confusing, technical input screens, had to be replaced without disrupting legacy operations, and required low‑cost, rapid development.
Döhler used the Kyma runtime on SAP Business Technology Platform as a side‑by‑side extension to connect SAP Sales Cloud, SAP S/4HANA and other systems, delivering a reusable sample‑request component and simpler service coding. The new solution integrated development orders into opportunity management, sped up sample creation, improved the user experience, and shifted the team from a product‑ to a customer‑oriented approach.
