A SAP Sales Cloud Case Study
Centrica, a multinational energy and services company, runs a large SAP estate that handles millions of daily interactions (including 60 million transactions, 30K+ payments and 145K logins daily) and needed a more resilient, agile platform to keep business channels running during outages and maintenance. Their on-premise landscape limited innovation and availability, so Centrica prioritized modernizing its integration platform and moving key components to the cloud.
Centrica built a cloud-native digital integration hub using SAP HANA Cloud at its core, adopting a hybrid, phased approach and upskilling developers to build CAP-based applications exposed via OData and SAP API Management. The move delivered scalable, high-availability data services with simplified provisioning, faster app development, improved data access for internal and external consumers, lower operating costs and a stronger foundation for better customer service and reduced carbon footprint.
