A SAP Concur Case Study
The University of Massachusetts (UMass) faced challenges from its fragmented and manual travel and expense management across five separate campuses. This led to low system adoption, poor visibility into spending, and significant administrative burdens. To modernize and unify these processes, UMass implemented the SAP Concur travel and expense platform, specifically utilizing Concur Request, Concur Travel, and Concur Expense solutions.
The SAP Concur implementation, supported by implementation partners, integrated with UMass's ERP system and standardized policies across all campuses. This solution streamlined processes, enhanced the user experience with mobile capabilities, and provided real-time spending control. The results included reducing reimbursement times to an average of 14 days, eliminating over 2,000 monthly bank card reports, increasing bank card usage, and strengthening the university's vendor negotiation position for greater savings.
